Guilty or Innocent? Group of students arrested for failing to tip.

by PS on November 19, 2009

Unbelievable. A tip is a tip, and shouldn’t be forced on any group. When you get horrible service, you shouldn’t be forced to pay a tip. In this case, the Streisand Effect is going to go into full effect.

Some college students were arrested and have to appear before a judge because they refused to pay a mandatory tip even though they spent hours standing around waiting for service, having to get their own tableware, and had to deal with a server that failed at all things service related. Allegedly.

Read about it yourself here. (Consumerist) but I had read it here at Philly.com first, but forgot about it until reading it at the Consumerist again tonight. Blah.
